The Michigan Campaign for Quality Care is non-partisan, grassroots group seeking better care, better quality of life, and better choices for Michigan’s long term care consumers. The campaign is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

The Campaign serves as a courageous voice for nursing home residents and other long term care consumers, advocates for changes in state and federal legislation and regulations concerning long term care, works with the media to assure frequent coverage of long term care issues, provides information to consumers about residents’ rights and quality of care, coordinates efforts with other advocates for the elderly and people with disabilities, and provides reliable information about long term care to state and national advocacy, investigative and regulatory agencies.

Our Goals:

1.  Improving the quality of care and staffing in long term care;

2.  Strengthening government monitoring of long term care;

3.  Expanding home and community based care;

4.  Encouraging innovative changes and best practices in long term care;

5.  Creating more effective sanctions for those who provide poor care;

6.  Providing consumers with reliable information about their rights and options;

7.  Giving consumers a voice in shaping their own care and the future of long term care; and
